Responding on the Ground in Jamaica

In the wake of Hurricane Melissa, the most powerful storm in Jamaica’s history, Acts of Mercy International teams are on the ground bringing relief and hope to those affected. Homes and communities have been devastated, and we are activating the Church to meet the urgent needs.

Over the next 1-3 months, we are continuing to assess needs, deploy specialized teams, distribute aid, serve children in local schools, and work alongside local partners as rebuilding efforts move forward in southwestern Jamaica. Our medical teams are running community health clinics, treating injuries, distributing essential medications, and providing trauma care—while construction crews are installing tarps on roofs and stabilizing damaged homes.

This is what investing in mercy looks like. Here’s what your generosity made possible in Israel and Gaza this past year! • $10,000 given to a local partner in Gaza, providing 1,000 hot meals • $3,077 spent on food, drinks, and hygiene supplies distributed to first responders and displaced families after missile strikes in southern Israel • 1 community first-aid box placed in the West Bank, supplying an entire village, along with in-person first-aid training • 51 first-aid and wound-care kits placed directly into communities • 150 people trained in health and first aid, including 30 teachers equipped to continue the work • 50 food packages and 60 clothing packages delivered to 25 families Now, we’re inviting you to be part of what’s next.
