An Update on How We’re Responding in Jamaica

In the wake of Hurricane Melissa, the most powerful storm in Jamaica’s history, Acts of Mercy International teams are on the ground bringing relief and hope to those impacted. Homes and communities have been left in ruins, but we are activating the Church to meet the need.

Our medical teams have been serving in the outlying, unreached areas of southwestern Jamaica—running community health clinics, treating injuries, and distributing essential medications. At the same time, our teams are preparing to send construction crews to install tarps and help stabilize damaged homes.

We’re continuing to assess needs, deploy specialized teams, distribute aid, and work alongside local partners as rebuilding begins. Join us—pray, give, and go—as we bring the love of Jesus to the people of Jamaica.

Our second DART team spent the day organizing information for people, fixing a local NGO’s generator, assessing medical needs, cleaning a kitchen that served 3,000 meals, praying over people, sharing the gospel, and showing up wherever there was need.
